Foods for thought


Last weekend while at my second job, I started looking up refreshing drinks that my friends and I can have for our own little cocktail after hour’s party. And in my true form, I found myself getting side tracked with all these different types of recipes with foods to help improve your concentration. No denying over time with age, our bodies begins to age right along with us. Just like anything else, our brain will need a little fine tuning here and here. Besides, who wouldn’t want to add a little smart food to their diets?

Sugar is one of your brain’s preferred fuel and no, I am not talking about artificial sugar. Natural sugar’s like oranges and certain other fruits.

Breakfast is a definite good source for brain power. Studies have found eating breakfast may improve short-term memory and attention. High fiber, whole grains, dairy and fruits are good to have in the mornings as much as possible.

Fish is rich with omega-3 fatty acids that are key for brain health. There are studies that shows people who contain’s a lot of fish in there deist, are linked to lower dementia. They also help with the risk of strokes and slower mental decline.

Dark chocolate has a powerful antioxidant properties, it contains natural stimulants like caffeine, that can enhance focus.

Avocados and whole rains together can cut the risk down of heart disease and lower bad blood cholesterol. It can reduces your risk of plaque buildup and enhance the blood flow.

There are plenty of other fruits, vegetables and drinks that you can use to boost your brain power. There is one good thing out there that’s sure to help and it’s completely free…. That is a good night of rest. Our bodies natural heal it’s self while we sleep. It makes sense being that’s the one time that we are completely at rest.

7-8 hours of sleep will do the body good.
