The event was held at the NJPAC center in N.J on saturday night, honorees for the night included Cicely Tyson for the Living Legend Award, Ava DuVernay for the Shot Caller Award, Dr. Helene Gaye for the Social Humanitarian Award, Nadia Lopez for the Change Agent Award and Jada pinkett Smith for the Star Power Award. 

Some attendees of the night were Erykah Badu, Ciara, Jill Scott, Estelle (her dress was beautiful), Faith Evans and the First Lady Michelle Obama. Tracey ellis Ross and Regina King hosted the event. Some of the looks they were giving was a cute little throw back to the 70’s. Tracey in her High waisted pants and Regina in her low cut gold metallic shorts, both of them looking like they are ready for a fun night out at Studio 54. I loved the look on Tracey Ellis Ross she resembled her mother so much, and for those who don’t know Diana Ross is her mother.
The Black Girls Rock event are usually fun and full of fashion surprises you can only imagine how fabulous the red carpet was. So, of course I am here to show off some of my favorite looks from the night.
